I am very impressed with your sheep culling experience, if maybe a little agast! Max and I like the picture of the albatross chicks best, we like the way they are all looking at the camera, and we think their nests look very prehistoric! Some of the plants look as if they could be found on the scottish mountains (to my untrained eye anyway!)
Lots of love from Jenny and Max :) (and Bob and Leo who are in the kitchen)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-242546386237792664.post-91197433612493321172012-01-28T16:33:03.752+02:002012-01-28T16:33:03.752+02:00Thank you all for those nice comments!

Although there is much less to record what there is is really interesting. We are planning several ridge walks which will take us up one of the many radial ridges, and down another, to traverse the maximum number of 1km squares. You can cover a lot of ground in one day doing this. We are also recording altitudinal species limits (as far as possible) and I'll write a blog article about this in future.

Kate - I expect the final report will be on the Kew website. But I will post a link. Meantime you might be interested in this link to a Report on the Impact Alien species are having on Tristan, by botanist, Niek Gremmen. www.kew.org/ucm/groups/public/documents/document/kppcont_047207.pdf

Chloe - Just back from an 8 day camping trip for some R&R and battery charging. I'll update the Blog with details shortly.

All the Best.Jim McIntoshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14141176330467225860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-242546386237792664.post-39419928779876161022012-01-28T10:56:00.443+02:002012-01-28T10:56:00.443+02:00Jim, it sounds amazing but hard, hard work!!
